What do you think of the press BARON magazine has
been getting, and more specifically how do you feel being featured so
prominently in this Baron press?
I feel like such a
little girl because I get so excited when I see that one of the images from the
'Zex gets Sexed' series is being used in the press. It's awesome that out of so
many images in the magazine, one of the few selected are by Adrian Wilson and
myself. Other than the fact it is a clever series with Adrian's handy work, I
guess it's because the set is obviously risky, but the slight censorship makes
it easier to publish online without the "Oh my! There's a random vagina on
my screen!"
So there is a certain degree of pride perhaps? How is it working with Adrian Wilson compared to other photographers? Definitely proud. I feel like I'm on my way up *giggles*. I've shot with a fair amount of photographers who get a wee bit too excited when shooting erotica, if you know what I mean. Adrian's really professional but has charming and kinda cheeky edge to him. He's got a great take and understanding of things, including the dom and sub relationship which is expressed in some of his images, maybe not always intentionally. I think he just has that presence. There are photographers/people who are a bit ignorant about it, who ignore all the health and safety issues and treat the models/subs like shit because apparently, we enjoy it. With Adrian, I feel safe. He's one of my favourite photographers I've worked with due to how he treats me and the outcome of every shoot is always amazing. Always. I've also got a lot to be thankful for. I feel like he really put me on the map, you know?
Haha... but so - do you enjoy it? We discussed before how you were very influenced/inspired by Sasha Grey - I'm slightly worried she may give the wrong impression though in perhaps glamorising the industry or making her success look easy
There aren't many girls who can do it like Sasha. I mean, that bitch has balls. She is a genuine, dirty girl but also smart- she got in at a young age and she got out at a young age. I respect her for that. She used her youth to her advantage and I like to think that I'm doing the same. I don't think she makes it look easy. The girls who think it's easy clearly don't know what they're in for. There's nothing easy about allowing several men take their turns to fuck you or even fuck you at the same time and slap you around a little. Being called a whore and piece of shit repeatedly could really mess up with your head and make you resent what you're doing. I don't know how she stayed in control of those situation, but she did. I've read/heard more negative things about the industry, so I don't find it too glamorous. This is coming from someone who sits in the dark with a laptop which has a missing backspace button.
I think its good to keep the negatives (and the positives) in perspective if you really want to succeed. I really wouldn't have wanted to put you in the magazine if I didn't believe you knew what you were doing, but in fact you have far exceeded my expectations - especially due to your age!!?? How old are you again!?? Is there anything else you would like to add?
